Nearing the end of another summer

Three weeks remain until my son returns to school. He’ll begin his final year of primary school. Though he was anxious, as the thirty-first approaches, his excitement to return grows.

This past week, we shared our annual event of shopping for school supplies, a new backpack and, the highlight, new sneakers! The next step is labelling the supplies. It is a tedious task, however, this season it is more nostalgic because it may very well be the last time it is done.

This summer, Liam and I shared great adventures in biking. We have used a map demarcating cycling paths around us. With the following weeks, we will likely head out another two or three times. We’ve documented our adventures by highlighting the paths we travelled and dated them too. And, we also took silly selfies on each outing as well!

This has been, hands down, our best summer together in the longest of times. Sitting on the side of a path, sipping water, and being in the moment. A simple wow.

To all the families gearing up for another school year, remember not to over stress and to enjoy the remaining time you share together as a family.

-Cheers.
