Long overdue

Consistency is so difficult. I continue to practice consistency. It is likely my strongest weakness. Often, I read motivational quotes of how it’s okay to not get the list of stuff done. Of how we stress to get the million and one things done, only to feel discouraged and frustrated when we feel we didn’t get as much done as we should have.

So, I have a solution. Yes, I can make my lists ad infinitum, and I’ll continue to do so. BUT! With a change of how I approach them. I decided to pick two to-dos from the list. One must be the tedious or daily chore I try to skip or avoid. The other choice is from the list of creative and fun ideas I have that I never get to. However, a new rule! At least for the creative list!!! I can’t choose another project from the fun list until the first project is done! I’m a professional WIP kind of girl and well, I think it would be nice to start and to finish a project!

For instance, a few days ago, I went out with my camera and spent a couple hours gathering images for a series about the fall. The series recently launched with the first images on our instagram and picfair accounts. The outing gave me time to be outside and creative at the same time. But more so, I felt rejuvenated too. So, give it a try. I think this is what we call balance! :)

Be back soon.
